Miso Salmon
Elevate your dinner with this exquisite Miso Salmon by @groovyfoodiess. This dish combines the rich flavors of white miso, sake, and mirin to create a perfectly marinated and deliciously broiled salmon. This recipe is simple, yet sophisticated, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or an impressive weekend meal. The savory-sweet marinade infuses the salmon with deep umami flavors, while the broiling technique ensures a beautifully caramelized exterior.
Instructions
- 1
In a small pot over medium heat, add in the sake and mirin, and let simmer for 2 minutes.
- 2
After 2 minutes, add sugar and miso. Let the mixture fully emulsify and set aside to cool, about 20 minutes.
- 3
Place your salmon into an airtight, sanitary container and add in the cooled miso mixture, making sure all of the salmon is coated.
- 4
Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for one day, or at least 12 hours.
- 5
After marinating, place salmon on a baking sheet lined with some parchment paper and broil 6 inches away from the heat source, for about 6-10 minutes until cooked to your liking.
- 6
Serve over a bead of rice or desired grain, and garnish with chives.
- 7
Enjoy!
