Terms of Service

By accessing or using www.dashofchef.com or any Dash of Chef service (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Yayah Creative LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“Dash of Chef,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

Dash of Chef is a recipe-discovery platform. We help you find recipes and, when you choose, send a recipe’s ingredients to a third-party grocery-delivery service — currently Instacart — so you can buy them. We do not sell groceries, process grocery payments, or fulfil or deliver any order.All shopping, pricing, payment, substitution, and delivery happens on Instacart, under Instacart’s own terms.

When you tap “Shop ingredients,” you leave Dash of Chef and transact with Instacart, a separate company. Your purchase is a contract between you and Instacart. We are not responsible for Instacart’s pricing, product availability, substitutions, delivery, refunds, accounts, or terms. The same applies to any other third-party service we link to.

Dash of Chef participates in Instacart’s affiliate program and may earn a commission when you buy ingredients through links on the Service. This does not change the price you pay. Some recipes are contributed by independent creators, who may receive a share of the commission attributable to their recipes.

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You are responsible for your credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password secure and tell us promptly at hello@dashofchef.com if you suspect unauthorised use. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Recipes, nutrition figures, and dietary or allergen labels — such as “Gluten-Free,” “Dairy-Free,” “Renal-Friendly,” or “Diabetes-Friendly” — are provided for general information only. They are submitted by creators or sourced from third parties. They are not independently verified, lab-tested, or medically reviewed by Dash of Chef.

You are solely responsible for confirming that a recipe and its ingredients are safe and appropriate for your dietary needs, allergies, and medical conditions. Always read product labels at the point of purchase, and consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary advice. We make no guarantee that any recipe is free of any allergen or suitable for any diet.

The Service — including the Dash of Chef name, logo, branding, software, design, page layouts, and our compilation of recipes — is owned by us and protected by trademark, copyright, and other laws. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in our trademarks.

If you post comments, ratings, or other content — other than recipe submissions, which are governed by our separate Creator Agreement — you grant Dash of Chef a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the Service. You keep ownership of it. You are responsible for what you post, and you must not post anything unlawful, infringing, abusive, or spammy. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content;
• interfere with the Service or try to breach its security;
• impersonate anyone;
• upload malware; or
• use bots to manipulate ratings, votes, or sign-ups.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any recipe, nutritional, or dietary information is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dash of Chef and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) any recipe or dietary information, or (c) any third-party service, including Instacart. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dash of Chef and its owners from any claim arising out of your use of the Service, the content you post, or your breach of these Terms.

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or otherwise at our reasonable discretion. You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@dashofchef.com. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will do so.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
