Marshmallow Tanghulu

By Tasty20 min🍽 2 servings

The Marshmallow Tanghulu trend is a playful and delicious twist on the traditional Chinese treat Tanghulu, which typically features candied fruits skewered on a stick. In this adaptation, large marshmallows replace the sugar dip, offering a crispy and light interior that contrasts with the juicy, sweet strawberries. The strawberries are dipped into hot melted marshmallows which harden to create a crispy, sweet shell for a satisfying crunch in every bite. Visit groovyfoodiess.com for more of Sarah's recipes!

Instructions

  1. 1

Clean and thoroughly dry your strawberries. Place your strawberries on skewers, and set aside.

  2. 2

Coat a plate with a bit of cooking spray. Set aside.

  3. 3

On a microwave-safe plate, microwave your marshmallows on medium-high for 30–60 seconds, until jiggly and doubled in size.

  4. 4

Dip each skewered strawberry into the melted marshmallows until coated, and immediately place on the greased plate.

  5. 5

Place the skewered strawberries in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until the marshmallow is set.

  6. 6

    Enjoy!
