Instructions

    Preheat a nonstick waffle maker (standard size, 7-inch grid recommended) to medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

    Separate croissant dough into individual portions. Gently roll or flatten slightly to ensure even cooking.

    Lightly sprinkle sugar over both sides of each piece of dough.

    Place 1 piece of dough on the center of the waffle maker, and close the lid. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until golden brown, crispy, and flaky.

    Transfer the croffle to a wire rack or plate, and allow it to set for 1–2 minutes to maintain its crispiness. Repeat cooking process with remaining dough.
