
Grilled Lemonade
Pucker up for this Grilled Lemonade that's sure to be a backyard BBQ hit! With a smoky twist on a classic favorite, you'll be sipping on this refreshing beverage all summer long.

On a cutting board, halve the whole lemons crosswise and coat the cut sides with a thin layer of sugar.

Preheat the grill, if using, to medium-high heat. Place the lemons on the grill grates or an 11-inch (28-cm) griddle pan, cut-side down and cook for 6-8 minutes, until caramelized.

Remove the lemons from the griddle and let cool for 5-10 minutes.

Juice the lemons through a fine-mesh strainer into a half-gallon (2 liter) pitcher.

Add the sugar, water, sliced lemon, and ice (see Note below) and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

NOTE: Do not add the ice if preparing ahead of time. Add the ice immediately before serving.
